Ken is the Broker/Owner of SnowHome Properties. He and his team have consistently been in the top 1% of local Realtors in sales production.
Ken is past president of the Summit Association of Realtors®, and for several years, was chair of the Professional Standards Committee, the committee that oversees the ethical conduct of Association members. He served several years on the State board, and helped pass legislation refining real estate agency laws.
He has written books and articles, including:
“How to Make Your REALTOR® Get You the Best Deal”, 1999, by Ken Deshaies, pub. Gabriel Publications. The book explains to home buyers how to work best with a Realtor®, why using a buyer agent works to their benefit, and explains the home buying process. As of March, 2006, 41 additional editions are either in print or in the publishing process, with a Realtor® in each state co-authoring. The Realtor® co-author in each state is responsible for rewriting the chapter on state laws and having it reviewed and approved by a real estate attorney.
“Get the Best Deal When Selling Your Home”, 2005, by Ken Deshaies, pub. Gabriel Publications. Takes potential home sellers through the process of preparing their home for sale and explains how to get the best price when selling. As of March, 2006, 28 additional editions are in print or in the publishing process.
A variety of articles in local newspapers and the newsletter for the Summit Association of Realtors® regarding buyer agency, professional standards, ethics and arbitration.
Prior to real estate, Ken owned a private investigations firm for 12 years in Denver, employing seven investigators, and serving for a period as the president of the Professional Private Investigators Association of Colorado. In this work, he conducted numerous investigations into real estate transactions and claims of fraud. During this time, he was also a member of the Win/Win Business Forum of Denver and was its president for a year and a half.
Ken has worked to position his company to be ahead of the curve in terms of the use of technology in real estate. He has completed significant educational courses on development of websites, communication by email, and working with online consumers.

Mary partnered with her husband Ken, and started working with him in 1993. She earned her GRI designation in 2001, e-PRO in 2003 and ECOBROKER Certified in 2004. Mary believes that continuing education is the key to providing service and value to their Clients and Customers. She is the Group Administrator, assisting Buyers, Sellers and Team members in all aspects of the business. Jason Brewer, Broker Associate, The Deshaies Team
Jason works as Ken's assistant, analyzing statistics, reviewing and maintaining listings and assisting with Buyer Clients. He comes from a military upbringing which has afforded him a mix of experiences including living in Japan and Europe as well as six US states. He graduated high school in Colorado Springs and received a Bachelor in Science at CSU in Fort Collins.
An avid mountaineer, Jason has hiked volcanoes in Mexico, undertaken treks in the Andes Mountains of Patagonia and Chile, and has a select group of long trails, including our own 500 mile Colorado Trail, under his belt. In addition, he's a rock and ice climber, cyclist, paddler and a big fan of any sport where you get to slide on the snow.
His dedication to mountain lifestyle extends into the community where he is a Summit Chamber of Commerce Diplomat, the President of the local Rotaract Chapter (think young professionals Rotary) and a dedicated volunteer. He enjoys origami, is known for his vast collections of outdoor gear and sunglasses, reads classic novels and eats with chopsticks.

Victoria moved from the Atlanta area to Breckenridge in 2003. She has three children in the Summit County School District. She has gotten to know the county through the many activities her children participate in.

Cameron is an experienced agent who moved from Denver to Summit County full time in June 2005. She and her family have spent a lot of time over the years enjoying Summit County in summer and winter. So, she and her family decided it was time to make the change to permanent residents.
